Nest Power Project

Power Project

Nest wanted to do something to help those dealing with energy poverty—families who spend more than 10% of their income on utilities. So we came up with the Power Project. Nest committed to making one million thermostats available to energy efficiency programs and to every Habitat for Humanity home built in 2018. We shot a documentary and created a site where people can use location to donate in their area. And others can get information to help them if they are struggling.

"On this simple but powerful site, people can search their ZIP code to find or fund local aid programs that fight poverty caused by pressing energy bills. By featuring energy poverty through personal stories and hard numbers, The Power Project puts the issue on the map with the aim of erasing it."
